Minimum Age by Law
16 years or older:
Beer
Wine
Cider
Champagne
18 years or older:
All strong alcohol (spirits, liquor)
All tobacco and nicotine products
When to Ask for ID
Always ask for a photo ID, for example:
Driver’s licence
Passport
Any government ID with a photo and date of birth
If They Have No ID
If you cannot check the person’s age or the person is too young,
the order must be cancelled and taken back to the restaurant.
